Remedial massage techniques are similar to the manipulations used in Swedish Massage but generally are applied more slowly with more intent, focus and pressure. Having first warmed the soft tissues deeper muscle groups are targeted. Remedial massage provides a healing treatment that may be strong, firm or gentle and/or deep or superficial. Remedial massage seeks to treat the whole body and trace the source of discomfort to its origins. The goal of remedial massage is to restore structural balance in the muscle groups throughout the body and decompress the pressure around the bones they work in unison with.

Cupping is Traditional Chinese Medicine technique in which glass cups are applied via suction to the skin for therapeutic effect. Cupping is based on the meridian theory of the body.
